Butterfly Effect

I believe that we make our own fate. It's what we do, what action we take and how much effort we make that determines our fate.

Yet, sometimes not everything works out the way we thought it would. That's when "Chaos Theory" plays it's part. According to James Gleick, whom wrote the best selling book in 1987, Chaos: Making a New Science, Gleick stated that "The same principle applies to human society. Tiny changes in one person's state of mind can, on occasions, lead to major changes in society as a whole. Or simple acts can lead to unintended consequences" (Gleick). OMG! The way I'm writing right now is so formal. Ooops, coming back to the topic; For example, if a student were to study so well for his/her examination, and is no doubt a sure "A" paper, a tiny little mistake can affect the grade of the student such as getting tired and not marking carefully.

This is just one part of the theory. Believe me, there's more where that came from. Therefore, I believe my actions lead to my own consequences. In other words, I make my own fate but even I can't make that happen. My CIMP final exam just ended. I probavly didn't study as much as I planned too. I only had two papers to sit. ENG4U (English) and BBB4M (International Business Fuyndamentals). Both papers started at 2.30pm till 4.30pm. English was on Monday and business on Tuesday. The only time I really studied was the last 5 hours before each paper. In my point of view, I'm pretty sure those 5 hours were the only hours I actually studied. The other days, well... nothing got into my head while I was studying.

My mom always warned me if I studied less, I wouldn't do well. These words from her always freaks me out because I always studied less than what she expected. I always felt guilty even now after my finals are over. Then again, I knew I did all I can. I made those two hours for each paper count!

I just hope for the best right now.
